Fans of Jessica Simpson will get two-for-one soon, as she's set to launch her new perfume called "Fancy," to coincide with her debut country music album "Do You Know?"
In her advertising she's draped in a pink silk bed sheet, while laying on a bed threading her fingers through her hair. One story says she was inspired by actress and pin-up girl Brigitte Bardot. That's interesting in that the two are probably opposites in their personal views on a lot of things.
What I like about it is Simpson is saying a lot, while doing it in a classy way. It permeates with sex appeal, as you can see in the photo below, without being vulgar. Contrast that with some models and advertisements that don't leave much to the imagination, and I think Jessica has a winner with her marketing.
The less-is-more strategy is a good one for her.
Jessica has been definitely differentiating herself lately, as she was caught wearing this "Real Girls Eat Meat" shirt, which drew the ire of animal worshippers.
Now that I'm looking at some of the things she's doing pubicly and in her advertisements, it definitely looks like she's carving a niche out for herself among a very targeted audience. Good for her! I think this going to work great.
