Missingmoney.com is a hot topic today, and it's sure not surprising that's the case, as just about everybody's looking for something to help them during these tough economic times.
Some of the more common money left unclaimed are bank accounts, uncashed checks, trust funds, stocks, bonds, dividends, uncashed wages, escrow accounts, utility deposits and CDs.
All you've got to do to check to see if you've forgotten your own money somewhere, is go to missingmoney.com and input your name and zipcode. I just did it, and unfortunately, a lot of my relatives have money coming to them, but I'm not one of them. Grrrrr.
The site caters to money-related issues, not real estate. So if there's cash somewhere sitting around, you should be able to find it if you live in the U.S.
Hey, free cash is better than about every other free thing, so take a second to see if you're owed anything. Now I've got to get back into the good graces of my nephews who are all over the results.
