Yesterday Apple (Nasdaq:AAPL) announced they had reached their 5 billionth song download from the iTunes store, continuing to make it the No. 1 music retailer in the U.S. The online song catalog from Apple included over 8 million song selections for fans.
While it doesn't get as much fanfare as music, the online movie business of Apple is now the No. 1 online movie store worldwide, with over 50,000 movies rented or bought online daily.
Along with being able to watch movies on their PCs or Macs, fans can also watch them across all the devices developed by Apple, including thie iPod, widescreen TVS with Apple TV and iPhones.
Apple also has a deal in place with numerous film studios to offer downloads the same day as a DVD release.
