The story about disgraced Naval officer Rebecca Dickinson who moonlighted as a call girl while performing her duties as an officer in the Navy has exploded across the Web today.
Dickinson was granted immunity in return for her testimony concerning D.C. Madam Deborah Jean Palfrey, who is attempting to battle the charges against her by asserting she was only providing a "fantasy" service, and "had no idea that the women she employed were having sex with the clients."
Dickinson said she entered into prostitution shortly after she declared bankruptcy, and was paid "between $250-$300 an hour working for Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey."
She is currently on leave, and the Navy said she'll never wear a uniform for them again. She has three children, but hasn't had primary custody of them since 1998.
The naval hooker worked as a call girl from October 2005 to April 2006.
