Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders had his Web site suspended by "Net Solutions" after complaints they received for the release of a controversial film that was critical of the Koran.
"This site has been suspended while Network Solutions is investigating whether the site's content is in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy," the company said on the site www.fitnathemovie.com.
The name of the 15-minute film is "Fitna," which in the Koran roughly means "strife."
When advertising the film, Wilders said the film is more about the Koran than it is about Islam. He added that he believes it's the last warning to the West, although he hasn't given many details on what the content of the film actually is, other than a critique of the Koran.
Wilders has been under extreme protection since the murder of Dutch director Theo van Gogh by Muslims, when he created a film exploring the way women were treated under Islam.
Even though Net Solutions refuses to show the film, Wilders said he will have it online before the end of the March.
