Google (Nasdaq:GOOG) has expanded its services to the United Kingdom, in the form of "Google Finance," which went live a few days ago, said an announcement on the company blog recently.
There will be a definite strong slant on British-related companies, perspectives and sources. "With a preference for news from British sources. The news is organized in groups by news topic, rather than listed by date, so you won't have to scroll through multiple headlines for the same news story," said Google in its blog post.
Access to discussion groups and blogs, along with the usual charts, stock prices, charts, mutual funds and financial news will be included with the service. The Google blog announcement also said they have a team in place to ensure the conversation stays relevant, and that spam is blocked.
The search results will favor British interests.
Users will also be able to keep track of their portfolio on the site as well.
