
In a recent press release, Turbine Inc. announced that "The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar" was named as the Best Persistent World Game of 2007 by IGN.
“The Lord of the Rings Online has continued to expand and delight players since its launch with compelling and frequent content updates, a growing and dynamic community, and the most accurate and engaging re-creation of Middle-earth ever seen in a video game,” said Jim Crowley, president and CEO of Turbine, Inc. “We are honored to receive this award from IGN and are dedicated to our continued delivery of the best persistent online experience in 2008 and beyond.”
