
For the quarter ending December 31, Baidu continued to lead the Chinese search market with a 60.1 percent share, with Google (Nasdaq:GOOG) following with 25.9 market share, and Yahoo China (Nasdaq:YHOO) coming in third with 12.8 percent.
While Baidu continues to dominate in domestic search, Google did creep up a little and gain 2.2 percentage in China search share.
Worldwide Search
With the worldwide search market, Baidu passed Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT) for the quarter, ending with a 5.2 percent market share. Google is first with 62.4 percent, with Yahoo coming out at second with 12.8 percent share; the same as in China.
For the month of December, the overall search market grew to 66.2 billion queries, with Baidu accounting for 3.4 billion of them.
