
Video is becoming an increasingly important part of a small business' strategy to show who they are and what they got.
In response to the growing demand, Idearc Media's Superpages.com is partnering with Denver Multimedia and TurnHere to expand their service. SuperPages.com represents approximately 18 million small and medium size business listings in the U.S.
Idearc spokeswoman Jannie Luong said about the initiative: "We will leverage both professional filmmaker networks to produce broadcast-quality online videos. Both companies will begin producing videos that showcase a local merchant's products and services for SuperPages.com advertisers."
By doing this, each participant can focus on their strengths. Superpages can concentrate on expanding their customer base and selling ads, while TurnHere and Denver MultiMedia can focus on producing the video ad presentations.
Video ads are becoming an increasing necessity both for businesses, online directories and search engines.
Superpages has been working since the middle of 2007 on building out their video ad service.
