Saying Radiohead is hurting up-and-coming bands, Lily Allen says they are arrogant for offering consumers a choice on pricing their music.
Allen said in a statement: "It's arrogant for them to give their music away for free - they've got millions of pounds. It sends a weird message to younger bands who haven't done as well.
"You don't choose how to pay for eggs. Why should it be different for music?"
I responded to her silly and ignorant comments here.
I know this is her own way of getting attention and her name in the media, and it's working a little. But to come out against the very thing that could save the music industry and help newer musicians seems a dumb way for her to do it.
The idea that she says they're arrogant for doing this, is really being arrogant on her part, in thinking Radiohead should just sit back and not try new things. Sounds like professional jealousy to me.
