‘On the Road with Bon Jovi’ will be the name of a new Web TV series produced by MaxMouth and AEG Network Live. They will film Bon Jovi at his concerts from October 25th to November 11 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
After that, they have plans in place to release 5 Webisodes of the concert across a number of key web portals, including MaxMouth.
Included in the webisodes will be exclusive interviews and performances by Gretchen Wilson, Daughtry, Big and Rich, My Chemical Romance and All American Reject, who will all appear with Bon Jovi at the 10 Night Stand in Newark.
Once the videos are shown, they will transfer back to Bon Jovi's website, and be able to be accessed in the co-branded video player of Bon Jovi and MaxMouth, where fans can view exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
MaxMouth says this is the first in an ongoing series of webisodes that will feature a number of music, film and television content captured on the various sets and brought to the Internet exclusively.
"On the Road" will become a branded Web TV series that takes an indepth look at the many things going on in the background of productions that are seldom seen by fans.
I like this idea. One of the missing elements online that the major entertainment companies have had going for them, are the behind-the-scenes additions to DVDs that still make them very attractive to fans.
While I don't think this will necessarily cut into those sales, I do think this is unique enough and differentiates in a way that should produce a very attractive entertainment value for visitors.
