The news that a women from Minnesota was killed after responding to a craigslist ad looking for a nanny, has shaken up a lot of people that use the popular web site to transact business.
While police haven't revealed how she died, Katherine Olson was found in the trunk of her own car at a Minnesota nature preserve.
The police have in custody a 19-year-old man who they think is the one who placed the ad.
This of course shows what appears to be a normal human being on a web site, can never be trusted to just chance.
A couple things that are suggested to protect oneself from possible danger, is to make sure you meet someone in a public place, and always have someone with you when you meet.
There probably needs to be more warning posts on web sites like this concerning the potential dangers; not to be alarmists, but to understand there is risk in meeting unidentified, unknown people.
