The new batch of Vanessa Hudgens' photos online is giving a hint of her losing control of her brand.
We talked before on thealphamarketer "If she says nothing personally or through her representatives, her brand will be taken away from her and presented as people want it to be. That is a huge mistake."
Her photos in lesbian poses shown online today reveals this may close to being a reality for her.
How could this been prevented from becoming another huge problem for her? She or her people should have made a statement concerning the possibility of this happening, and talk about it being a bunch of friends goofing off, and some of the pictures could offend people.
While the announcement would have or course stirred curiosity and an interest, it would have lessened the shock and decreased the buzz. Now it's happening all over again for Vanessa, and she is at even more risk than she was before.
Don't think because you have the usual people defending these actions that this isn't a blow to her, it is!
These photos seem to have come from her friends (?) who are intent on hurting her further.
Say what you want, millions of people will be offended by these new pictures. She's treading a very thin line with Disney now, who has to be thinking what else is going to show up.
Hudgens is now in danger of now only destroying herself as a brand, but the extraordinarily successful High School Musical franchise as well.
From a marketing point of view, there's nothing really funny about the picture show here. Vanessa and her people better get this thing taken care of or she'll just become another Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton.
