Online community TV site BuddyTV has been acquired by Comcast (CMCSA), says paidcontent.com, citing unnamed sources.
According to co-founder Andy Liu, the site has around 3 million monthly unique visitors. It competes in the highly competitive online TV category. Liu also says the company has 20 employees at this time.
The online property received financing from Gemstar-TV Guide in the summer, and also drew a loan from Charles River Ventures’ Quick Start Seed Funding in May 
2007.
Along with their recent acquisition of Fandango, it looks like Comcast is continuing to build up their Fancast.com site, where they will probably integrate BuddyTV with their growing franchise.
