
The local online search market continues to grow at a strong pace, and marketers are looking for ways to tap into the lucrative market.
CBS is going the way of reaching potential auto buyers, as their three Dallas divisions, CBS Outdoor, CBS Radio and CBS television launched DFWvehicles.com, an auto search site targeting the North Texas area.
At this time, paid search on the local level accounts for around 22.3 percent of all local online advertising, and is projected to grow to $1.6 billion this year, up 75 percent from $927 million.
The ad-supported sites offers a marketplace where visiters can search for new or used cars, or also sell one. There is also a tips section from the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA), offer video guides on how to make a decision on a used car, automotive trends and innovations, as well as vehicle pricing from the organizaton.
If they can make the initiative successful, they will offer the service across other CBS markets.
