YouTube is getting together with LG Electronics, a South Korean maker of mobile phones, to build a phone that can interact with the service.
According to LG Electronics, they'll be making a phone which will empower the users to view, upload and share video clips or user-generated content without need to access the site through a computer.
"LG Electronics will unveil the mobile handset that fully supports the YouTube service for the first time in Europe in the second half of this year," the South Korean firm said in a statement.
For the European market, this may actually be a pretty good deal. They are more apt to
use mobile phones for video than the North American market. With the phone being specifically made with YouTube in mind, it would be a great way for citizen journalist to get their stuff up online fast.
LG is the world's fifth-largest mobile phone manufacturer.
