Refinery offers website design, analytics and search marketing. Some of the clients of the 12-year-old company are Merril Lynch and Campbell's. Revenue for 2006 was $21.1 million. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

By combining Refinery's best-in-class capabilities in these areas, with G2's digital marketing expertise, we provide clients with a new level of excellence in end-to-end interactive marketing services, and move our agency further in building an industry-leading, global communications network of the future."WPP has been adding to its tech capabilities with a number of acquisitions in the last several months.
