In a study by TubeMogul, they found that when video content owners increased the distribution of their videos from one or two sites to six, a significant number of them received over three times as many views as before.
This confirms that people continue to want to consume their video content when and where they want. While some people and companies are distributing their video across hundreds of platforms, this study reveals that even small increases in distribution can result in tremendous viewing gains.
TubeMogul has also found video content publisher spend about 20 percent of their time with operations such as uploading video and measuring viewership.
In response, they're offering a universal upload and tracking tool called Load & Track, which allows publishers to upload and track videos across the top seven video-sharing sites, although you can only track six at a time at this moment.
Describing their service, they say on their site, "TubeMogul's analytic technology aggregates video-viewing data from multiple sources to give publishers improved understanding of when, where and how often videos are watched, track and compare what's hot and what's not, measure the impact of marketing campaigns, gather competitive intelligence, and share the data with colleagues or friends."
