According to sources, Ivanka Trump is being pursued to be a moderator on the upcoming presidential candidate discussions on MySpace (NWS-A) which will be held on college campuses around the country.
MySpace will start the series in September, and will have a format of conversations with presidential hopefuls for an hour each. Those participating will include Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Tommy Thompson, John Edwards, John McCain, Duncan Hunter, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Sam Brownback. The broadcast will be presented live on the site.
Wendi Deng, the wife of Rupert Murdoch, who is becoming more active in News Corp., is credited with coming up with the idea of approaching Trump as an ideal candidate to represent the upwardly mobile, younger and educated voting crowd that would tend to participate in the online initiative.
At this time, sources say the decision hasn't been made on whether to broadcast the series on Fox News.
