The online horror site FEARNet now has Spider-Man director Sam Raimi creating original content for the Web site.
Raimi will work through Ghost House Pictures, a joint venture between fellow filmmaker Rob Tapert and Mandate Pictures.
The first of the two series Raimi is working on launched on Wednesday and is called "Devil's Trade." It's a story about 3 teenagers who buy an item on the Internet and then are cursed. The series will be presented in short-form episodes.
Horror isn't new to Raimi as he has produced "The Grudge," and directed "The Evil Dead."
FEARNet is offered on the Internet, Comcast video on demand and mobile devices. It is a joint venture between Lionsgate Entertainmen, Sony Pictures Television (SNE) and Comcast Corp. (CMCSA).
