Evidently Justin Timberlake likes to surf YouTube, as he liked what he saw in YouTube star Esmee Denters enough to make her his first artist to record for his new label - Tennman Records.
Timberlake, who is joint venturing with Interscope, is chairman and CEO of Tennman.
To help promote her, Timberlake will include her as the opening act in several of his shows on his European tour. Timberlake is obviously hoping she catches on with the fans which would set her up for an album deal later in the year.
Denters performed a number of songs from various artists on YouTube which caught on fast with fans as her video offerings drew a large 21 million views.
Tennman president Ken Komisar said, "Esmee is a remarkable talent with a story that anyone with a dream can relate to -- it is no wonder she has such an enthusiastic following already."
