Glam Media Inc., which represents over 300 blogs and Websites which the company says accounts for 12 million U.S. users monthly, will be using Google Inc. (GOOG) to begin brokering their advertisements across the Glam network, said the Wall Street Journal.
For Google's part, they've been looking to work with high-end sites like Glam in an attempt to attract larger advertisers looking to brand through their marketing efforts. It is also part of their strategy to sell more video and graphical ads, versus their usual direct-response text ads.
Glam is a fashion and lifestyle company that caters to more upscale users.
Google will sell display and video ads that will be embedded on Glam's various sites. There will also be a search function included where text ads will also appear alongside search results and specific content for those sites within the company that decide to use it.
Terms of the deal haven't been disclosed.
