The latest entry into the rapidly expanding content base for Joost is Warner Bros. Television Group, as it has become the latest large media content provider to join the online venture.
Warner Bros. will start off on the Internet video network by launching a celebrity and science fiction channel sometime this month.
The company is differentiating by offering up long-form video, in contrast to the majority of online video which is presented in short clips. They also have landed Sony Corp. (SNE), Turner Broadcasting System and Hasbro to the online TV network.
With all their success, the company has also had growing pains as it has had problems with the growing traffic as they're allowing people to invite more and more users to the new initiative. Their servers have had problems as a result of the increasing traffic.
At least it's happening in beta, where it should, rather than once the full-scale rollout begins. It's really a good problem to have so the issues can be resolved. After all, that's one of the reasons for beta testing.
