Creators of worthless arbitrage sites have been getting notices this week that they are getting kicked out of the Google Adsense program. It's created quite a bit of conversation at the Search Engine Roundtable and Webmaster World sites.
This has been ongoing, but is evidently being taken more seriously by Google. A number of advertisers have refused to enter into the program because of the ad costs from these Adsense arbitrage and "Made for Adsense" (MFA) sites.
As Searchenginewatch says: "In the short-term, this could affect publishers not engaging in MFA sites, since these large-scale arbitrageurs will take their ads out of the program. These publishers could see at least a temporary drop in earnings, but a better-quality content network could bring in more advertisers in the long run."
For those with real online business ad models this is good news.

Google are expexted to be rolling out a new feature for adwords usersshortly, the ability to see exactly what sites on the content network their ads are displayed on. I think this is a way to clean up the sites that advertisers are going to be suddenly made aware of.
I know for one that I would be SICK if I saw some of the sites I "advertised on".
Smart move by the big G.
