We've had little communication out of AOL concerning its AOL Uncut user-generated service that has been in beta for almost a year. Fred McIntyre, chief online video executive at AOL told Beet.TV that the service will launch next month.
AOL Uncut will be included on a number of AOL's platforms, including the growing social network service.
While the company is obviously been slow to take the service out of beta, their reach and, as McIntyre says "brand permission" gives them the opportunity to get in the game fast and in a big way.
The company's AIM service should play a key part in the service going forward.
