The USAtoday.com Web site has seen a surge in registrations and unique visitors since it changed its site and relaunced in March.
The company says that its registrations have increased by 380 percent with the added on interactive features now available. According to Nielsen//NetRatings, their unique visitors have grown by 21 percent since February, receiving about 11 million since then.
"We are very pleased our readers are connecting with USATODAY.com, using the new tools, enthusiastically participating with comments and recommendations, and
registering to be a part of the USA TODAY community. It is also gratifying traffic is increasing as users of the site embrace the many new offerings," said Jeff Webber, publisher of USATODAY.com and senior vice president, advertising for USA TODAY.
While it's not surprising, the categories of the site that received the greatest increases in traffic were sports, travel, tech and money. Something to keep in mind in our marketing efforts.
