Facebook has added a new feature to its site that adds home pages to its 47,000 member network. Facebook is still the second most visited social-networking site on the Web.
Each home page will reveal the number of people within a network, along with the breakdown of gender. Also included will be event scheduling, political bend and if members are currently in relationships.
"We're constantly developing a bunch of different things and releasing them when we're ready," Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said in an interview. "We think that one of our primary advantages is that we can move very quickly."
Another change to the site will be concerning its messaging system, which will now operate more like regular email does. You will also now be able to email multiple recipients and have messages about the same conversation grouped together. Zuckerberg added that there are other changes as well, with most for the purpose of making the user experience easier.
In February the site received 16.7 million visitors, which is a gain of almost 60 percent year-over-year. It's now open for anybody to join.
