Sanford Wallace, alias "the spam king" has more legal problems as MySpace announced that they have filed suit against him and the various companies he owns to be barred from the online community site.
The suit accuses Wallace of breaking both state and federal laws, which include the federal Can-Spam Act and California's antispam and antiphishing statutes. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles.
The specifics of the suit says that Wallace initiated a phishing scam in October which gave him fraudulent access to the profiles of MySpace users. He also is alleged to have created bogus profiles and a number of groups and forums,
spamming thousands of MySpace users with advertisements and drawing them to his Web sites.
The suit seeks monetary damages plus a permanent injunction which would bar him and the companies affiliated with him from using the MySpace site.
