
With the acquisition of Insider Pages, Citysearch has now expanded by double its number of user-generated reviews and will now include data and information on health, beauty and home and garden categories. The online community site has over 600,000 reviews of businesses in 30 markets in the United States.
Citysearch specializes in local directors, search and media. They are especially strong in entertainment and the arts. Now that they have Insider Pages, there will be over 1 million reviews and other local directory information connected to 500 different business categories. The company already has a local directory for every
zip code in the country.
Insider Pages has a strong branding with their core reviewers and so will keep their brand identity in place. The "Insider" employees and their CEO will remain with the company. The positioning of the company within the Citysearch brand hasn't been decided yet.
