In Nielsen/NetRatings News and INformation category, CNNMoney.com was found to be the most visited business Web site in 2006, measured by 12-month averages.
In all the current top categories of unique visitors, page views and gross-usage minutes, they excelled against some top competitors like Forbes.com, Marketwatch.com, BusinessWeek.com and WSJ.com.
CNNMoney.com is evidently seeking to expand and enlarge that grip on the market as it has committed to a new site redesign that will target the specific professionals and investors they serve. Streaming stock quotes that will be updated automatcally will also be part of the changes of the site.
You can also personalize a place on the home page that will track the last 10 stock quotes you've looked at or your own portfolio if you're a registered user.
There are now over 100 external news feeds, ability to subscribe to targeted email alerts, more video and updated blogs from its various writers across their properties.
It's another way of saying they've embraced the power of Web 2.0 and are going forward, like all of us online marketers need to be, and not sitting still enjoying a lead that could change quickly if they don't continually improve.
