The First Ad Copy Weapon of Choice - The Headline - 17
One of the strategies that make any marketing campaign standout in reference to copywriting and headlines is the ability to tweak and change little parts of phrases that maintain the impetus of what you're saying, while doing it in a way that is new to the reader. It's an important way of standing out from your competitors.
Think of how many headlines someone that surfs online must see in a day. Things at times have to be done a little differently to get that hypnotized reader to take the bait. Sameness, over a period of time can get people to read with a glaze over their eyes that a unique headline has a better chance of breaking through.
We've talked about the use of the word "secret" in a phrase that is always a powerful word that gets people to go on. What happens at times when that headline slows down in its effectiveness in your campaign? Think of other ways of saying the same thing.
Here are several other ways to write a headline saying the same thing:
Hidden Paths to...
Little Known Ways to...
Unwrapping the Gift of...
You could use them like this:
Hidden Paths to Secret Wisdom
Little Known Ways to Win at Taking Tests
Unwrapping the Gift of Love to Your Mate
The implication is that there is a secret, but it's said in a way here that adds a bit of mystery to it. These are excellent ways to alter a headline that you want to imply the same thing, but saying it a little differently than is being read all over the web. Try these when other phrases may need to be put out of commission for awhile. They'll spark the interest of readers to continue reading into your offering, when they have previously slowed down in taking further action.
