The women's online site iVillage (GE), is now increasing its presence in the health space as it is increasing its offering of information related to numerous medical conditions.
The Web site called iVillage Total Health, has added 13 new - what they call - condition centers, which will offer content concerning cancer, skin and hair, among others. They will also include new interactive tools which will aid visitors in identifying what is causing symptoms, along with a diet program.
They are also adding a new feature into their online pregnancy calendar from GE Healthcare which will allow women to "view 3-D sonogram images" based upon their specific stage of pregnency.
They are developing a comprehensive marketing plan that will include having experts connected to the iVillage Total Health site appearing on the "Today Show" and "iVillage Live," the companion show to the site, to drive traffic to the site.
