Religous site Beliefnet, has forged a partnership with Yahoo (YHOO) Personal to host its Soulmatch dating service.
As a result of the deal, Beliefnet will be able to provide ten times the number of dating options of people who are identified as being spiritual.
"The biggest immediate impact for our folks is a quantum leap in the number of choices in finding someone for whom spirituality or faith is an important component in their relationship," said Steven Waldman, CEO and founder of Beliefnet.
Current subscribers to Soulmatch will be offered service free for three months before they will have to make the choice of whether to sign up for the $24.95 a month as Yahoo Personals members do.
Yahoo Personals will also adopt an online spirituality center that will include Beliefnet content which includes popular advice columns on relationships and spirituality.
One strategy to briefly look at is the three month complimentary service offered by Yahoo. This is a simple and basic strategy that works fantastic. In amount of people keeping their service will be high. A simple idea that works great for any marketing effort.
