
Anne Holland, founder & president of MarketingSherpa wrote to her customers on her website that the company has been acquired by MEC Labs Group, another marketing research company.
"Nothing drastic will change. We're keeping our same name, our staff, our regular publications, and yes, our Warren, RI, headquarters. And our goal remains the same -- to conduct new research into what really works in marketing via Case Studies, Benchmark Guides & Summits."
I have personally interacted with MarketingSherpa from the time she literally started it in her bedroom in Rhode Island in 2000.
Dr. Flint McGlaughlin, director of MarketingExperiments.com, said that while the two companies will operate separately, they will work close together on bringing marketing professionals "practical research data, networking Summits, and professional training."
McGlaughlin added: "MarketingExperiments conducts real-time experiments; MarketingSherpa conducts benchmark studies and Case Studies. By working together, the two firms will be able to better serve their nearly 300,000 subscribers and members."
While I haven't had any dealings with MarketingExperiments; I can say that MarketingSherpa has been a high quality provider of marketing information for years, this should be good for everyone that is looking at getting needed online marketing data.
