What Should Your Strategy Be
While the great majority of people use the same overall strategy, that doesn't mean it'll necessarily be the best thing for you.
To me the best strategy is still to create your own information product. Of course if you have the skill level or desire, it could be a physical product also. But the Internet lends itself especially well to information products.
Now another strategy that a number of people have done that is counter to what I just said, is to become a super affiliate, and build their entire business based upon selling someone else's products. This is nothing to look down on, as a number
of people make thousands a month doing this.
Most of the time it's a combination of the two that works real good. A person develops their own product and sells it and develops their own affiliate program where people sell their product for a percentage of the profits. Then they also are affilates themselves that offer back end products that they can get a percentage of.
Another popular strategy is to create businesses built around niche topics that draw target traffic, and then have an ad model and the way you monetize your business.
Of course the tried and true building of an email list while your doing all of this is an important part of the overall strategy you have. Contrary to people that don't know what they're talking about, email is far from dead. It still produces fortunes for people that properly use their lists.
Do you see though how it's the niche that sets up the rest? Everything hinges upon the targeted group of people that you're reaching out to and building your business around.
The best thing to do is choose a strategy that fits what you really want to do and start there. Add things as you become an expert in each area and built out and expand.
