The Real Edge - No Matter what Niche you Fill
What is the most obvious thing in front of your nose concerning business that very few ever get right? Serving customers until all their questions are answered or needs are met.
This is something that will never go away, and will always be around. Most online marketers are either going solo, or have small teams that they serve their customers with. This is a powerful advantage in the online marketing world.
If you're thinking or working on these terms, you have the greatest opportunity to make people satisfied with your service than about anybody out there.
Those that will utterly commit themselves to the philosophy of not letting your customer down by underserving or not making them happy in any way, you'll be miles ahead of over 95% of other marketers out there. It could make more of a difference than anything else that you offer or do.
It's the type of thing that helps you to build a moat around your business that is very difficult to compete against; even if others enter your same space.
While this includes after sales contact from customers that maybe aren't satisfied, it also offers great opportunities for pre-sales service also.
That's why every time someone does a study, there are huge percentages of people that abandon sales in the online shopping cart area. Many competitors offer processes that take so many steps, that the people just click away and go somewhere else. We need to make things seamless for them. Everything has to be simple and easy to understand. Many of the large companies online are guilty of this as much as smaller companies.
Don't underestimate what we're talking about here. Other than the niche you choose, this will probably the thing that determines your success or failure above any other piece of the success puzzle. Do it right and you'll be way ahead of any competitor that decides to enter into your field of interest.
