
Niche Marketing can Save you Marketing Dollars
Advertising to mass or general audiences always is much more costly than it is to market to a niche demographic; it's another strength of targeted marketing.
If you were targeting, for example, model airplane enthusiasts, you could narrow down where it is you'd want to market to online fairly easily.
Because it is such a targeted market, you wouldn't be necessarily dealing with
huge numbers, and so could probably get some advertising for good prices.
This is true in tens of thousands of potential markets that exist online. People are looking for sponsors directly connected to the demographic they serve because there is now, and will be for years, more advertising slots than there are advertisers online.
It's the equivalent of going fishing, but knowing exactly where the fish are without going through a process of trial and error to find where they're hanging out.
That's another advantage in relationship to money spent on advertising and marketing. You don't have to spend to find, you already know where they are. Now it's a matter of finding out what they're feeding on.
Another great reason to be a niche marketer.
