Keep Pushing Until you're on Automatic Pilot
A mistake I see a number of new niche marketers make, is to misunderstand that when all the work of finding a niche and getting an online business going that is built around that niche, then the great part of the work is done. You couldn't be more mistaken. In fact, it is there that the real work is just beginning.
It's human nature to want to take a sigh of relief and sit back and congratulate yourself over your perceived victory. The truth is that this, more than any other time, is when you've really got to bear down and work your business.
This is the stage where you've got to latch on to momentum and make it swing your way. To do that you've got to push harder at this time, than possibly at any other time of the business. When I say 'this time,' I mean for a season until it gets into a rhythm and is performing steadily.
It's impossible to think in terms of time frames, as so many businesses and markets are different. You might have some luck on your side and hit it just right and it takes off fast. Or you may hit things at a time where the overall economy is slower and the business reflects the economic climate.
The point is to keep pushing until you get it rolling. You'll know when the time comes; it will almost take on a life of its own for a while. It's seem to be on automatic pilot. But to be on automatic pilot means you've got to go through the process of taking off and getting at the right altitude.
Now I don't mean that at this time you don't keep pushing, just that the push is in a different way and will center on things other than getting things going. At this stage is when you check the dials and instruments to make sure you're staying on course, or if you need to adjust things to take it in another direction.
