With 24 million users visiting the Yahoo Music portal, Nissan has signed on as an exclusive sponsor of Yahoo's new initiative; a biweekly concert.
"The experience is delivered online, but part of the goal is to take things we're creating and make them available other ways," said Dave Goldberg, vice president and general manager of Yahoo Music. "We're looking at ways artists can work with us to create things. We're hopeful this will translate offline as well as online."
The concerts will start off big on Nov. 15 with Christina Aguilera performing.
There will a Nissan lounge, as part of the branding, along with car models and interactive games, video and flash animation.
Each concert will promote a different model. Aguilera's concert will promote the Sentra.
Once a quarter Nissan will give an individual concert a stronger push with ads, sweeps and dealer programs.
