One secret that can help you to plan and profit from marketing campaigns, is ask this simple question: What's important to people? Those that can answer that question the most accurately, will be the most successful over the long haul.
It's a simple question, yet very few really get the answer right. Now we have to understand that we're not talking about the extreme generalities here, rather, we're talking about specifically to your niche customer or consumer you're trying to reach.
For example, all people are concerned about health, family, love, security, friends and money. The key is to understand, within the general parameters, where your product or service fits in. Once you see it, then build your marketing campaign around that targeted reality.
What are people talking about, concerned with and passionate about? How can we meet and address their specific desires? When we get the best data we can and make decisions based upon it, then we can work our ways backwards from the end result of what we see and offer products and services in specific response to where people are at.
In other words, start at the end and work your way back to the beginning; don't start at the beginning and just guess.
