
According to comScore Media Metrix, the introduction of the fall TV series has given a huge boost to the studios' Web sites last month.
Some of the shows and how they affected the ratings are the "Deal or No Deal" site, which had a huge 998% increase to 1.9 million visitors last month, with NBC network increasing by 52% to grow to 7.5 million visitors.
ABC's Dancing with the Stars drew 826,000 viewers, which was an increase of 212%, with the network growing by 78% to reach 8.1 million viewers.
Lionsgate Entertainment was the huge winner for the month as they saw an increase from under 1 million visitors in August to a huge 6.6 million during September. The majority of that is attributed to the movie "Hard Candy," which drew a huge amount of interest.
Concerning the entertainment industry and the growing online video world, comScore executive vp Jack Flanagan said, "It will be interesting to watch how online video sites differentiate themselves and how major media companies take notice."
