Anheuser-Busch, the largest beer company in America, is slated to start their new Internet entertainment network "Bud.TV" in February.
Several actors including Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Kevin Spacey and Vince Vaughn have been in discussions about potentially developing programming for the site.
As a result, a number of health advocacy groups have written them asking to reconsider. Along with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, there are the American Osteopathic Association, National Association of Teen Institutes, Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America and the National Association for Children of Alcoholics.
The major concern of the organizations are that the use of alcohol will
be encouraged to underage consumers.
The practical issue most involved seems to be that they don't require anything more than the "honor system" when asking visitors to sign on to the site.
