Google (GOOG), for the first time in its history was responsible for over 60% of searches conducted in the U.S., according to Bill Tancer of Hitwise.

Google finished with 60.2 percent, Yahoo (YHOO) Search came in second with 22.5 percent in July, and MSN Search came in their with only 11.8 percent. Altogether the big three accounted for 94.5 percent of all searches.
