There has been a lot of talk for years about what the best day to send email messages is. In all my efforts and receiving of emails, along with talking to some of my colleagues, overall there really isn't what could be called the "best" day for all circumstances.
What I have found is that it is more important to be consistent in the day and the time you send it. There are certain days that I receive important emails that I look forward to and it has been more important to me to know what day it for that particular sender, than it is the day, in and of itself.

What the talk about the best day does is to hide the more important aspects of sending emails like building a reputation for being dependable in you mailings. That, and it also creates a sense of anticipation for those who look forward to what you send.
Of course it can't always be completely on time as I have had mailings that for whatever reason end up behind a whole list of others ahead of me, and so it doesn't get there at the specific time I send it. But overall, the mailing will always be sent on the same day and same time and it works real well for the lists I send to, as well as others also.
Don't get too caught up in what the best day is, but rather consistency of the day and time you send mailings out to your list is what is more important.
