Here are another six tips you can use to battle the changes in the Google Adwords dilemna. Doing them, along with the others mentioned, should improve the cost of your keywords:
8. One thing that you can do to make some changes quick and possibly get those prices down would be to make the changes I've suggested and then make a phone call to Google to ask them to give you "a personal review" of the site (866-246-6453). There is no way of knowing when your site will get "crawled" the next time.
Other ways to improve your scores:
9. Have your landing page title tag be the same as your keywords.
10. Don't include AdSense ads on the landing pages.
11. If your bidding on a keyword like "pencils", make your landing page "pencils.html".
12. When asking for an ezine signup, add content to the page. I know that this will probably result in a smaller percentage of signups, but you must decide between that and higher prices.
13. One neat trick some have used successfully has been to simply move their landing page to another site they have. This obviously works better when the site has existing content according to Google's guidelines. This allows your page to be part of the existing sites score.
Here's one last tip at no extra cost: If you've thought about trying other providers like Yahoo or MSN or others, this could be a great time to get it going. For some there may not be any other alternative.
