One of the habits we can all get into is to either try to be so creative that we try to find a new wheel or we are so stuck in a rut that we can't think of anything to do at all in our marketing.
A trick that works wonders to get you back on track again is to find unique combinations of products, services or even presentations, to get things flowing again.
Think of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups as an example. They made a fortune by just combining two existing products: peanut butter and chocolate.
You can do this with current offering you have, or look around at what others offer and combine them with things that haven't been done before.
Don't be afraid to think of odd combinations either. You'd be surprised at what might come up.
I've known of people that have dropped sending full-scale ezines and instead just sent out a one-paragraph message that gave a brief overview of their online magazine and included a link to the landing page. It produced great for them.
They combined an existing email product, online magazine and brief overview. All of these were things that they already did with the exception of a few changes.
Products or services that have been running successfully, but slowing down, could be combined in numerous different ways as loss leaders, special discounted sales or to create an entirely new product.
You get the picture. With RSS feeds, blogs, video, emails, instant messaging, social-networking, landing pages, among numerous things, you could take them and blend them, add to them or tweak them, to give you an endless array of new ideas to create new offerings to your customers.
Have you tried these various combinations to deliver new creations?
