Focusing in on the slower summer months, we continue on with several strategies that get great results during these times.
3. Offering package deals.
This is one that can really get some terrific results. Simply take some of your products and put them together into one fantastic package and sell it at a price that people would find nuts to resist. Not only does it create a lot of sales but it also creates a lot of good will as many customers will write to you in appreciation for the great offering and price. Some marketers do this and can make more in one "slow month" than they may do over the next six. This is a good one to try.
4. Affiliate contests.
This works great with your affiliate program (you should have one). Offer a sales contest where you offer cash or merchandise to the top ten producers over a short period of time. Two weeks is a good time frame to work with. You'll be surprised at how this motivates people to really work hard at increasing their efforts. Be creative here as some people will work hard not only for something for them, but something their spouse or children may like. Sometimes offering more than one choice works really good in these circumstances and motivates some that otherwise wouldn't participate.
5. Take time recharge.
While this may not seem to add to the bottom line at the time, it can be a great way to take advantage of a slower time and give your business a going over and think of new things you can do when things pick up. You can go over products that you may want to drop that aren't moving at all or search out some more people to partner with also.
It can mostly be a time for new ideas and thoughts that can invigorate you and your business and prepare you for that surge that's coming in a couple of months.
