
A key online marketing truth you need to know is that new people that sign up for your ezine, are far more active and willing to try your products and services than those that have been on your list for a while.
So how can you use that information to give value to your new customers and to your business? Understand that when you first get them, this will be the most important time to add value to the relationship. Do it by offering your clients something unique that is engaging and makes them want to go back to your site.
A recent test of online marketers revealed that only 3% of those receiving new people signing up for their ezine sent back an immediate response that offered their new signees something that was interesting or made them want to go to an interesting link to check it out.
There was no newsletter or interesting advice that someone could use right away, no product offers that might interest the user and in some cases there was absolutely nothing sent for over a couple of weeks.
I'm not talking about the hard sales stuff here. Just something that says welcome, glad you're with us and here is something to reward you for signing up. Only 3% made the effort.
What that tells you is that you have a great opportunity to roar ahead of your competitors by making an excellent response to those that have newly signed up with you. This is something I would do as soon as possible if you don't have that happening with you ezine opt-ins at this time.
