The Alpha Marketer![]()
What happens whenever you hear that there is going to be some bad weather coming into town? The first thing you know the convenience and grocery stores are packed with people getting their bread and milk. We all know that it doesn't seem to make any sense, and yet it happens.
Bad weather doesn't necessarily mean winter, but it could be any type of weather that keeps people in the house for more than a day or two.
No matter what time of the year this is, it will always cause there to be a tremendous leap in online traffic. Some people quietly do some great business when this happens. Some of them simply have products that cater to this business and so don't have much they have to do to increase sales (for example: board games).
What about us that have products or services not connected to that particular situation? I think it would be a great strategy to have some type of campaign and online marketing strategy that is launched for only a couple of days saying something like this: two day indoor sale or bad weather sale for next two days.
Have it made and ready to upload whenever it happens. Have the ad copy ready, the landing page designed and the product or services your going to offer for quick sale.
I think this would be a great way to make a quick windfall and give people an appreciation for you thinking of them during a time like that.
Have you ever tried something like this? How did it work for you?
