We are continuing our look at creating powerful press releases that bring great results and clickthroughs.
Here is another tip to consider when creating a press release.
Make sure your first paragraph has several keywords in it.
The first paragraph is the most crawled part of your press release as the search engines view these the most carefully to determine what the releasse is about. So you want to repeat some of the keywords in this part of the release. Another strategy is to include possible alternate spellings to your words like email or e-mail.
The way to do this right is to make a list of the keywords related to your release based upon the market you're reaching out to. Then simply replace words of your regular release with the keywords.
You must be careful here as I've read some releases that are so obnoxiously filled with keywords that I can't even finish the first paragraph without leaving the page as soon as I can click out. Not only that but the search engine may determine that it is really looking at spam if you overload it with too many keywords.
Just use a few keywords in the first paragraph.
